SPECIAL ISSUE: SEPTEMBER 2025

CALL FOR PAPERS

Interdisciplinary Journal of Digital Humanities and Ubiquitous Scholarship invites scholarly unpublished research papers for its special issue on Museum Studies.

Museum Studies is a rather new field of study which has acquired independent status as an academic discipline. In India, it is still in its infancy though the first 1886 exhibition of London was held long ago that led to establishment of museums in colonial India. The idea therein, as with other things, was to establish its colonial logic of cultural hegemony. With new higher education regime under NEP, now Museum Studies are a part of the curriculum in many  universities. Many universities also offer full time program on Museum Studies. It is high time to start an interdisciplinary dialogue on various aspects of Museum Studies. We invite papers on all aspects of museums. Written in APA style with not more than 3000 words, articles can be mailed to nkumar@svc.ac.in/ ijdus.editors@gmail.com.The paper should not be published in parts or accepted for publication elsewhere.
